Switcheasy canvas ipad2 case review
I was very excited to receive my Switcheasy canvas cover for my ipad2 on Friday afternoon. From the time I placed the order on the Switcheasy International site (Hong Kong) to the time it was delivered was a good six days, which for delivery to South Africa, I was very happy with – (delivery by Fedex).
I struggled to choose between the Switcheasy Cara cover and the Switcheasy Canvas cover, and was going to go for the stylish slim design of the Cara but then came across the Canvas which is also quite stylish but seemed to be a bit more practical in that the cover folds in a few ways to act as a stand (Cara does not fold and has a separate piece for a stand). The other thing that drew me to the canvas was that it was a bit Moleskin like in it’s ‘notepad’ look and feel appearance and that is what I was looking for in a cover.
The iPad clips easily into the hard plastic back, and the canvas-like cover has a suede side that sits against the screen. I quite like the feel of the synthetic canvas, which has a bit of a hard cover book feel. As per a few other reviews I read, I agree the cover does add a bit of weight, but I think any cover would and the fact that the iPad is now covered and feels securely protected is worth a bit of extra weight.
The double cover on the back because the cover wraps from front to back adds to protect, and the Velcro strip to pull the back away when standing does not bother me. There are three grooves on the suede side for standing positions. Depending on your surface these can be a bit shallow, but there are a few ways to fold the cover back so for me, is not an issue.
Some people have commented on the clasp being to tight, I don’t have and issue with the clasp, it clips closed and uncloses easily enough. The little red logo tag is small and cute and for a little stylish branding I certainly don’t mind it.
I am very happy with my choice and I would definitely recommend this cover for the ipad2.

How to make an entry box 3D visual
I am in the process of updating this site – and will be back to update this article very soon! Bare with me, thanks.

Diamonds are forever!
I’ve just received a photograph of one of a recent billboard adverts that I did that has been up for a couple of days. I think it looks great – just as good as the original visual I did for the client. Can you tell the difference? Which one is the visual “mock-up” and which one the real photo?
Yo sum yummy dim sum at So yum
We finally got to eat at So Yum in Hyde Park last night. One of my favourite things to eat is dim sum, we used to love eating them when we lived in London, so we’re thrilled there’s a new spot in town serving them up. In London once, on an early date one Sunday we had the most amazing time at DimT in Hampstead, I think we sat there for about six hours and ended the evening having one for the road with the waitress, it was a great, memorable date.
So yum is part of the Oyo, Wangthai group, Oyo also serve great dim sum (but only have a few choices on the menu). So yum have more to choose from and they were very yummy. There is nothing nicer than the prawn and celery gau dipped in that spicy mushroom soya sauce, yummm.
We also drank a really nice bottle of red, a Virnum Africa Cabernet Sauvignon and then, as you can see, finished the meal off with a divine berry meringue desert for three. A good night out, with delicious dim sum was had by all.
